Who we are
What started as a simple hobby of collecting a few rare Star Wars collectibles has evolved into a thriving Internet-based small business. In January 2005, we launched a handful of auctions on eBay under the name of "ChloeandJupiter". During that first month, we made a total of 50 dollars and had a lot of fun working at it. Over the months the number of customers grew, and so did our toy collection. As of February 26 2006, we have delivered toys to 1,104 customers worldwide.
Here's a little bit about the team working for you at the ToyHive.
The owner and proprietor of ToyHive.com is James Turner. The ToyHive team also consists of Lego and Playmobil enthusiast Amber Z., as well as our service dog Chloe and office cat Jupiter. In December 2005, we added a new member to the team — service puppy in training — Ferrous. We promise, none of the toys have been chewed or clawed!
Where we find our toys
There are several ways that we bring you great products at great prices. Often, we buy direct at wholesale prices. Other times, we buy items from distributors in huge quantities for a bulk discount. Finally, we comb the Pacific Northwest area toy and hobby stores.
We only sell what we think are the best toys. While we could take a "kitchen sink" attitude and further diversify our toy line, we believe that by focusing on just a few toy lines at a time, we can give you a better shopping experience and value.
